The Fun Walk for kids







The Revlon choc celebration of Life Fun walk in association with the Saturday star is an annual event that supports children affected by cancer, it took place on the 18th of August 2013, in awareness of raising funds for the choc childhood  cancer foundation South Africa. www.charity.co.za/choc-childhood-cancer-foundation-sa.html

People from all walks of life came through to join in the fun walk and support the event, families, partners, toddlers, children and even dogs. Everyone was catered for including the dogs, who were pampered by the people from Eukanuba and there were other gazebo's such as the cow, VW, Union and the Clere gazebo were people could go there and get freebies with the products being offered to them. The rest of the activities being offered were the spot prices and food on sale for the whole family. All walkers received a Revlon gift once they had finished their race, now that is what I call motivation.

The use of the social media was one of the clever concepts used in getting people to know about the event, as well as people taking the initiative in being a part of it, that's were the entry time enteronline comes in, in making it easier for people to enter online and just get to the fun walk with their forms already filled in and they just do payments and join in the fun. This made it simple for both people being a part of the walk and the people who were working at the event.

The experience of being a volunteer and experiencing the event was amazing and knowing that its not only about me volunteering but also about making it happen for the children with cancer, something that I am passionate about is helping  people in need.

    Wow I really enjoyed the Choc walk last Sunday. We had so much fun. People came with their dogs and you could even see that those animals were clean. This event was a great success because many people have supported it.

    True that Era, it was indeed a successful event.

    yes Nyiko, you sure did miss out on the fun hey, but since it takes place every year, you can take part the following year.

    I sure did Shadeline, you should also come through next year and be part of the fun.
